New Additions To My Makeup Collection
Over the past few weeks I’ve gotten so many new makeup products that I’ve been dying to share with you all! There’s so many new things that I’ve bought and received as gifts, so instead of overloading this one post, I’ll be sharing all of the goodies throughout this week and next. First up are a few goodies from Ulta. The best part about these products are that they’re all under $20.
For my birthday, it was quite obvious that anyone who loves and knows me would get me makeup as a gift. Luckily, my sister Jada (and brother Kamon) were right on par with this eyeshadow palette and eyebrow shaping kit. I’m a palette junkie. There’s no such thing as too many palettes because quite often I go between palettes to create one look.
The Girls On Film eyeshadow palette by Makeup Revolution is affordable and versatile, featuring 18 colors mixing a combination of matte and shimmer. It also features a full sized mirror and brush. While I will be honest and say I’ll never use this brush, I do appreciate when companies provide an option for applying eyeshadows. The color pay off when swatching the colors on my finger was decent, not amazing but for the price it’s a good buy. With 18 shadows, there’s a lot of different looks you can go for in this single palette without having to reach of another.
The Focus & FIX eyebrow shaping kit from Makeup Revolution is another gift from Jada and Kamon. I’ve never used an eyebrow powder palette before. If you’ve watched my (outdated) eyebrow tutorial you know that I’ve been using pomade and gel. Most recently, all I use are pencils from NYX and ABH. However, since receiving this eyebrow kit I’ve studying powder brow techniques. Another honest, opinion I’m not sure if I’ll like this. But it’s always worth a try. One thing I do love about this kit is the clear wax that’ll help keep the brow products in place. This kit also comes with mini tweezers, which are a must when keeping your brows in shape.
This Next Palette. Is. Everything.
Carli Bybel is one of my favorite beauty YouTubers. She’s gorgeous with and without makeup. Her minimalistic style is super cute. She applies her makeup so effortlessly. And she seriously is fab. It’s hard to say anything wrong about her or her palette collaboration with BH Cosmetics. It’s easy for us all to love Carli Bybel because she’s popular but honestly, she delivered a quality eyeshadow and highlighter palette for only $15. Traditionally, BH Cosmetics is only sold on their site, but this collaboration was shipped to Ulta stores after such high demand. Although the palette doesn’t come with a brush, it has a mirror, 10 very pigmented eyeshadows (five matte and five shimmer) and four beaming highlight colors that can also be used on the eyelids!
The purplish shade cracked after being in my suitcase. 🙁
