With the popularity of beauty vloggers taking over YouTube (and now Instagram) with their makeup tutorials, it has never been easier to learn the newest beauty trends. Watching a few minute video and following along with your favorite internet stars, will make you feel like a MUA yourself. YouTube has made the world of makeup easier and even more fun. So there’s no excuse to not know of the term “cut crease” or not knowing to use a damp beauty blender apply your foundation and blend that concealer.
But in case you are a bit out of the loop, I complied a list of my favorite YouTuber beauty stars that slay all day. There are thousands of awesome women and men that are killing the makeup game, but these are a few that I know you’ll love too. Check them out below and comment your favorites to watch too!
My girl Vicky, oh how I love her so much. Vicky was one of the first YouTubers I watched when I started watching makeup tutorials. I remember searching “Makeup for beginners” and looking for a women of color that I could relate to and she was it. Vicky is so versatile and changes her style often but she always remains loyal to her “subbies.” You can tell that she’s enjoying making videos for her fans. In my opinion, she should be more well known. She’s been doing this for awhile now and has earned her spot as a beauty and fashion guru. Nevertheless, Vicky is fun and talented.
LustreLux aka Katy is bomb (All of the women on this list are) but LustreLux is just gorgeous and flawless. If you’re looking for a channel that you can watch no matter your skin tone, LustreLux can be it. Her technique is simple and she’s easy to follow along with. She always does close ups on the section that she’s working on and quite often does talk throughs that are easy to understand. I love watching her channel because she’s entertaining, fun and simply beautiful.
I just recently got started watching Alissa Ashley less than a month ago but she earned a spot on my list because she seriously slays when it comes to makeup. Her look is so captivating and unique which is very refreshing when YouTubers can get lost in the wave when there’s so many to watch. I initially saw her picture on Instagram and immediately had to find her on YouTube to get my life. She is the beauty vlogger that I can rely on to have a bomb ass cut crease. Bonus: Her dramatic looks are so flattering and still can be worn out of the house.
If you’re into makeup and beauty vloggers, you know that Nikkie is a queen at this! She’s probably the most popular gal on my list but it’s well deserved. She has over 5 million subscribers on her channel and over 5 million Instagram followers. She also has a new collaboration palette with TooFaced Cosmetics. She is seriously goals if you’re an aspiring beauty vlogger or wanting to perfect your craft. She is the most fab when it comes to making her highlight pop. You’ll always see her cheeks popping and shinning but it’s never overbearing. She’s also so funny when you watch her, she’s so animated and it’ll make you feel like she’s one of your friends.
Jackie is a gem. She’s one of the most honest beauty vloggers I’ve ever watched. She will cut into us but also let us know the truth behind all of the products she’s using. If you ever watched a video and felt like the person in front of the camera was trying to sell you a product or begging to get views, she’s the complete opposite. She will review a product and say “Oh, honey no. This is not it.” Along with her honesty, Jackie is a queen when it comes to the slay. She uses a mix of affordable products and high end and she achieves true makeup perfection.
I feel like ItsMyRateRaye is the best friend we all have. She’s just so fun and down to earth, and most importantly she’s inviting. I think my favorite part of watching her is the fact that she makes every look she does seem so simple. Remember when I said she was down to earth? She did a collaboration with Colourpop Cosmetics, an affordable brand we all love for their liquid lipsticks. Although I didn’t get my hands on the products, they got great reviews. She ends all of her videos saying “Deucees!” which just adds to her fun vibe.
