It’s been so long since I’ve done a favorites post but since it’s the last day of the month, I’m back with my favorite items for the month of March! I’ve shared plenty of new exciting things lately, but this is more than just makeup! I’m sharing my favorites in hair, makeup, skin care, health, and technology! So yes. All of these are GoodGirlGoneFab approved and made my month that much better!
Fantasia Heat Protector Straightening Spray
Getting this sew in really did change my style and life, no exaggeration. And when it was time for me to wash my hair, I totally forgot how hard it is to blend your real hair (leave out) with the weave. Since I have very thick, coarse hair, I typically need a bit of heat to get it straight but getting it silky like the weave was ALMOST a nightmare. This heat protector not only saved my hair from too much heat but it was the key to making my hair straight and not oily. It’s a lightweight mist spray and the biggest help it provided was taming my fly-aways. I’ve used this spray in the past but neglected to realized how much it was needed until now.
Finding a good drug store eyeliner has been so hard for me! Even if I swatch a tester in the store, when I apply the liner to my lid it typically looks patchy. Not the case with the NYX Epic Ink Liner though. To me, it’s a dupe to the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner but half of the cost. The Epic Liner is the darkest black possible and it’s pigmented (af.) This a great liner for wings and everything in between!
I haven’t told anyone, but I’ve been taking biotin for the past few weeks. I’ve missed days, so I will say it’s off and on process getting used to taking a new vitamin daily. I do however, like the way my skin has been lately! I’ve had some random breakouts but that was from wearing while sleeping (please don’t do it). Other than that, I’m liking the results. he included keratin helps to support the structural integrity of the hair so it stays healthy and shiny. These tablets are 10,000mcg and promotes the metabolism of protein, fats and carbohydrates! I drink plenty of water through the day to stay hydrated and I’m really hoping that my hair, nails and skin all prosper from this new addition to my diet.
Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
Magic in a jar. I was bit skeptical using it at first due to the fact that it looked greasy but it’s not at all. For an oily skin girl, it’s actually great for ALL skin types. Just a tiny scoop of the lightweight balm will melt off your makeup – including waterproof liner, mascara and hard to remove liquid lipsticks!
I’ve been trying to be a true GoodGirlGoneFab and smell as great as I look. *hair flips* My boyfriend gifted me this perfume for Valentine’s Day and of course it being a Rihanna item, I loved it. I’m honest here on GGGF so I would lie and say I love something that I don’t just because it’s Rihanna’s nevertheless. Since this fragrance is a light, flirty and feminine scent perfect for Spring! It has a floral base but it’s not too overbearing where it smells like flowers. The scent honestly makes me feel pretty.
So with me blogging more, I needed an easy quick way for me to upload watermarked photos to my social media content. So I invested in this app to add the GGGF logo to pictures for posts! There’s a free version in the Apple AppStore but I got the Pro version to be able to work more freely. You know apps have upgrades *rolls eyes* but it has been honestly worth it! After I used AfterLight and/or FaceTune (both also highly recommended) I have GGGF .png files that I used over the pictures and boom! Watermarked and GGGF official.
If you’re a beauty blogger/vlogger in 2017, you have to have high quality videos, right? But when you’re me, you have a crappy MacBook Air that has orange juice damage and low space, making it slow and hard to edit pictures — let alone videos. So I’ve been using my iPhone 7Plus and iMovie to shoot and edit my pictures and video! It’s been such a blessing and saved my blog honestly. Best of all, of course it’s free if you have an iPhone.
