There’s a national day for almost everything but today is the day to celebrate your visions, goals and affirmations for your new year! Vision boards have been popular for a few years now, with many of us using the creative collage as a way to inspire and motivate us! In 2015, Kellan Lutz and Ryan Daly, submitted “Vision Board Day” as a National Day to be held on the second Saturday in January (after all of the New Year partying has died down). I’ve been working on my vision board for a few weeks (lots of stopping and starting over) and it’s finally complete! I used a cork board from Michael’s and used push pins to attach my visions.
Most of the art for my vision board are quotes and statements for me to use as guidance on how I see my year being successful. I wanted to stay away from too many material things and use my vision board to focus on my career and passions. I know many vision boards are completed filled with no gaps but I kept mine spaced with gaps as a reminder that you can’t plan your entire year. Things will happen that you have little control over and you will have to use those gaps to think on your feet and go with your gut.
What are someone of your visions? If you don’t have plans tonight, this is the perfect time to run to the craft store, call your friends to come over to drink wine and create!
Then you can share your Vision Boards with Good Girl Gone Fab!
