I haven’t purchased a M.A.C product in over a year but when I saw that singer, Justine Skye had a collaboration with the brand, as apart of the M.A.C Future Forward campaign, my interest in MAC was sparked again.
The M.A.C Future Forward limited edition campaign is geared to showcase the beauty styles of female singers Justine Skye, British singer Dua Lipa, and K-pop star Lee Hi.
M.A.C hasn’t been in my beauty brand preferences in awhile but I still do respect the brand and their creativity. Their creativeness and inclusiveness has kept them a leader in the beauty world, which is why they remain a top beauty brand and retailer.
Justine Skye is also a creative spirit that I have been following for about six years now. I found the singer on Tumblr and she was super popular on the blog site, belting our tunes and having a unique style. The “Purple Unicorn” herself, has an unique look, rocking purple hair that has become her stable in the game. So it made since when her M.A.C collaboration featured an iridescent purple powder, sure to standout.
I recently purchased the Justine Skye x M.A.C Cosmetics Iridescent Powder in Chicago at a M.A.C inside of MACY’S, while they were having a 10% off ALL BEAUTY PRODUCTS in the MACY’S. But the powder can also be found at many M.A.C. freestanding stores and of course on their website.
For $27, the powder is a soft purple shade with subtle shimmer. I used it as a highlighter but it can be used a blush, eye shadow and even on the lips to create the iridescent finish. I love it because it’s such a bold color BUT it’s sheer on the skin. It’s the perfect unique shade without making you feel like a clown.
With this being my first M.A.C purchase is over a year, I can honestly say I love this product and will probably use it often. It’s actually a great color for the spring so it makes sense to get the most use out of it now!
