Millennials Love Brunch

Because why not? I mean, everyone loves good food. Mix good food with, day drinking, and with cute outfits, you have yourself a brunch turn up.

I don’t do brunch often with the girls but when I do, it’s always a great time. The most recent brunch spot I went to was in Hollywood, Calif., named The Waffle. While they don’t service the brunch famous bottomless mimosas, they did have their signature double mimosa which had a half of bottle of champagne in each glass for only $6. The Waffle is a hip Cali spot with an outdoor patio, that even has “Woofles” for your doggies. It was a lit time.

But this post isn’t a review. It’s a question of why is brunch so lit and loved? Brunch isn’t a new concept but it’s a trendy day event that you’ll see people partaking often on their Snapchat and Instagram weekly. Let’s count the reasons why: 

1. As said before, day drinking. Whether you’re drinking a mimosa or a bloody mary, it’s the perfect excuse to be tipsy on a Sunday afternoon and not be turnt to the max.
2. You want to slay but the outfit you have isn’t everyday material and it’s too casual for the club? Go to brunch. Brunch outfits are the perfect mix of casual and cute. Instagram followers will think you’re cool.
3. Brunch is the best after-turn up morning meal. I’ve heard that getting over a hangover is best fixed with either drinking more or greasy food. Brunch has both options.
4.  Breakfast or lunch? I get options? After a long night, you’re not getting up at the crack of dawn to get food. So when you do get to brunch and you’re craving both an omelet and a burger you have a choice and no one think will you’re weird for eating an omelet at 1 pm.
5. It’s a great way to hang out and catch up with old friends. If you’re looking for a light turn up with great conversation, going to brunch is always a fun idea.
6. Cheap. Most of the brunches I’ve been to, I’ve paid less than $20-30 for a full meal. That’s a great deal considering I get a chance to drink a good amount of champagne for that price too. It makes us feel boujee without the price tag.
