As many of you know, I spent my summer in New York City as an intern for Nneya Richards, a fashion stylist and PR consultant. While I was in NYC working with Nneya, she helped me learn so much about the fashion industry, public relations and blogging. Nneya is the mastermind behind N-Aperfectworld.com, a curated blog about world travel fused with fashion, food and more. I loved working with Nneya because she inspired me to start this blog.
So while working with her, I would always express my love for makeup, YouTube beauty vlogs and wanting to start doing it myself. Nneya, herself is not into makeup and wanted to learn more about how to make herself look even better with simple products. I found it interesting that Nneya had a small range of beauty knowledge yet, she was featured in Avon’s beauty campaign last fall. So she’s obviously doing something right. Haha.
Yet she’s still interested in learning more So one of the projects she had me work on this summer was an “on-the-go” makeup tutorial for a travel-ista like her. She wanted something quick, simple and easy so I showed her quick makeup tips for traveling, featuring trèStiQue.
TrèStiQue is a new makeup company that wants to make beauty simple. Their “Beauty Meets Simple” tagline is an obvious indicator of that and their products reflect that as well. All of the product are simple and easy to use. Most of the products are double sided, with one side being the product and the other being the applicator or brush. This is a very cool and innovative idea that Nneya and I both loved. TrèStiQue sent the products to Nneya to try out and we used some of their products in our tutorial.
This was a great experience and it gave me so much insight for when I get a chance to start filming my own tutorials for YouTube.
This tutorial is broken down into four parts, all ranging in 2-3 minutes each. Check out Part 1 of the tutorial and let me know what you think! I’ll be sure to post the rest of the videos soon!
Special thank you to Nneya for all of the help and encouraging words to work on this project and my blog as well. xoxo.
